Birthday Chart for Grandma

During a recent trip to Florida, we made this chart for Grandma to keep track of all the family birthdays.

How To:
Paint the board, download Disney font, paint on Mickey Mouse and transfer words to board (I did it the hard way and cut out each letter and traced, then painted in), hot glue bow and ribbon, paint round wood pieces from Michaels, write on each with paint pen (I put year on back), hot glue safety pins on back, hot glue ribbons to bottom of board with round wood piece glued on top, pin on birthday circles!  Voila! Birthday chart!

Took about 2 hours, well, 2 weeks if you count all the interruptions from having 6 kids.  I was pleased with the results and Grandma liked it too.  The blank circle at the beginning of November was our announcement of the next grandchild.

Sweet Brother

Sinatra bought his orange Fanta and then used $.50 of his own money to buy Sugar a ride on the dragon. So sweet of him. Little Miss Cinderella loved it.

Perched

Here is my boy perched like a bird on my counter. Wonder where he got that?

Shade Tree Mechanic?

Saw this in a field between the tunnels at the boarder of West Virginia/Virginia. Jon saw it and quipped, "Gives new meaning to the term shade tree mechanic, doesn't it!" Ha!

Cousins!

We met Jon's brother and his family, and Jon's sister for lunch on the way home. So much fun to see cousins!

Thanksgiving, Hoosier Style

These are the only pictures taken on my phone. The rest will have to wait until we get home and download them on our computer.

We spent yesterday afternoon decorating mom's house for Christmas. The boys adored running all over the roof with G-Pa.

Tried something off of Pinterest

Hannah and I went to goodwill and bought men's T-shirts for $1.75. Then we cut off the T-shirt at the armpits. Next we cut off the hem and cut across the length of the leftover tube in 1 in. strips, saving an inch at the far seam. Then we stretched the strips, gathered the uncut section, tied it off, and voila, a fun scarf. I needed this punch of color for my wardrobe. No sew, minute expense, lots of fun!

Now I just have to get past the thought that I am wearing some man's T-shirt around my neck. At least we cut off the armpit part.
